Fantastic year for soft fruit - we managed to net our redcurrants just before they ripened - normally the blackbirds get them all - we left the alpine strawberries and raspberries for the birds so they didn't miss out. The redcurrant jam goes particularly well with pork and apple burgers from Barton Farm made with their rare breed free range pork.
