Ever wondered what our Farmers Market traders get up to once they have packed away at the end of each market? Last month, 1st February, it was a busy evening for two of our traders. Teesdale Cheesemakers and Northumberland Cheese Company joined forces to put on a charity Cheese and Wine event, to raise money for Butterknowle Sea Scouts who are hoping to attend the World Scouting Jamboree. Six fabulous artisan cheeses were sampled, together with a range of wines, all in the cosy new Cafe Cheesedale at Pond Farm, Copley. The event raised almost £300 for the Scouts which they were delighted with. Great to see our traders working hard for their local community.
