Deer ‘n Dexter, our farm based business from the Lake District’s northern fells in Cumbria, rears and sells two very special red meats – venison from extensively reared Red deer and Dexter beef from the smallest of the native cattle breeds, the Dexter.
Naturally and non-intensively reared, during the summer our animals enjoy a diet of herb-rich pasture, the resulting grass-fed meat is full of flavour.
Prepared in the small butchery we have built on the farm our venison and Dexter beef is cut and packed by our butchersready for sale at local farmers markets in and around Cumbria, through a small number of Cumbrian retailers, from the farm and by mail order.
